Prescriptions

If one of our veterinary surgeons has authorised a medication to be available on repeat prescription following a clinical examination, you are able to request this medication as and when you require it during the validity of the original prescription: usually the patient will need to be reassessed clinically every six months but some drugs require more frequent assessment.

- Via a link sent to your mobile phone for some drugs

We aim to have all prescriptions assessed and dispensed by our veterinary team within 48 hours.  You will be contacted if there is a problem with your request and we will also let you know when the prescription is ready to be collected. 

You will be informed, on request, of the price of any medication that may be prescribed for your animal. 

If requested, we will provide written prescriptions at The Animal House so you can obtain the medication from an alternative VMD approved pharmacy. Please note that a written prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or if immediate treatment is necessary. Once our veterinary team have completed the written prescription, we will email it directly to your pharmacy of choice.
